Matthew 4 A bible study for all of us. Jesus is led into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. But he fasted for 40 days and 40 nights and afterwards HE WAS HUNGRY. ( The Ark was forty days and forty nights as God cleansed the Earth) Now when the Tempter came to Him, He said: If You Are The Son of God, command that these stones become bread' Oh wait a minute. Satan knows God's power, knows He can turn stone to bread, but He is not convinced that this is the SON of GOD. He does not know who Jesus is, he is doubting, why don't we find this interesting. Jesus is tired and hungry, He knows exactly whom He is talking to and says "man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. (For the Word is God and the Word was God) In the beginning was the Word , and the Word was with God, and the Word was God . He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
