Hold me now
It's hard for me to say I'm sorry
I just want you to stay
After all that we've been through
I will make it up to you
I promise to
And after all that's been said and done
You're just the part of me I can't let go (Chicago Hard for me to say I am sorry)

Sorry is the hardest word to say, everyone has trouble with sorry, simply it's an admission of guilt, we are innocent until proven guilty, we have the right to remain silent, I am not going to talk about this, did you have to go there?
Standard responses when we feel we are under attack. Accepting Jesus is the beginning of a journey, no one wants to talk about saying sorry. There are explanations, excuses, detours, and hiding, but the love of Jesus comes with a quiet condemnation, a silent judgment that lingers in the back of our mind, we know we are failing, so we strike out at others and we manipulate ourselves away from the silent reminder, deep within us we know we cannot run and we cannot hide, the truth of who we are is there, reminding us quietly, whispering that we don't have to keep doing what we are doing, we can do something different, as we open our minds, new ideas filter in and new possibilities, hope surges and the blood in our veins tingles as love flows through us healing and driving away the guilt and condemnation. Peace like a river sweeps through the mind, quietening my Spirit as my Soul begins to shimmer with light, love is whispering and claiming my being and the realization that we are all one, I am God and God is me as we are become One Love, every time we pray we are linking our chains and we are pulling in the direction of Jesus Christ, Love will never be defeated.
When I have hurt my children, my husband and my mother, sorry is required in order to repair the damage I have done to our relationship, despite what anyone says, we are feelings! Our relationships are based on how we make each other feel. We are passion, love and experience and this is what those that are conducting social experiments on us cannot grasp, Humanity defies logic!
The bottom line I guess is, do you want to take ownership of your life? Can you own your own shit (hits just keep on coming. Tom Cruise quote from the movie A few good men!)
Saying sorry is not such a big deal, it's just a process of growth and maturity on the path to understanding.
In the New Testament, the key term for repentance is metanoia - It has two usual senses: a "change of mind" and "regret/remorse." In both books of Mark and Matthew Jesus began his public proclamation with the call "Repent." In addition, Paul is said to have preached to both Jews and Gentiles/Greeks to "turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus"
17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” Matt 4:17
3 So watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them.Luke 17:3
