See, here's the thing, if you like me and you watch a ton of YouTube vlogs and rescue animals and cute kittens and adorable dad teaches puppies to swim videos.....then you will have seen this clip! Here's what I have come to understand:
The Vets are the Problem!
I cannot tell you how much my loathing is growing for the veterinary profession, every single one of you should be ashamed of yourselves! 300 US Dollars it costs to have a female dog spayed in Beirut lebanon, it costs around the same price in Pakistan, it's a little less in South Africa coming it at around 90 US Dollars. I have watched a YouTube clip where a dog spent nine years in a kennel in Athens in Greece. 9 Years that's a lot of dog years and there are hundreds of dogs in Athens waiting for adoption. Why? because it makes sense to charge 300 dollars when if we charged 30 dollars we would have to work ten times harder to get richer, yes, so there are more unplanned pregnancies, but afterall we just the doctor, we not the RSPCA, nor do we take any oath to protect our patients, we sanction Euthanasia!
The more I sit and think about this epidemic, the more wonder when are we going to ask the Vets to stand up and be accountable to their patients! Their patients have the right to birth control, abortions terminated uterus if money can buy such privilege, black lives matter, white privilege, you can all go and kiss my ass! I want puppy privilege. We just recently adopted a dog that was given away by his owner, not because he didn't love the dog, no! He was given up for adoption because his owner could not afford to pay the vet fees and he didn't want her to get pregnant with from the German Shepherd, we if K9 taught us anything, well, you just can't trust a GS.
So, we brought this on heat terrified puppy into our home and we live on the third floor. It's been a lesson in cleaning up after another woman and then when she finally stopped bleeding, hold on to your hats. You won't believe this....we take her for a meet and greet to the local vet and she is taken in and immediately prepped and operated on and I was speechless, she had eaten, drank water, these are no, no's! before an operation, the patient must have null over mouth for at least 6-8 hrs. She came home, with no antibiotics, but we got pain pills. They tried in South Africa to make one of the females I had spayed go without pain pills, so I gave her human pain pills, this displeased the vet! He then issued the pain pills! How can you ask me to let a dog knowingly, willingly suffer?
There are dogs that have endured such trauma that the only kind and honorable action is a death sentence. There is no hope, no coming back, there has just been too much pain and we see it; suicide is all around us, the hopelessness fed to us by the media. We stopped listening to good music. Could you be loved, was replaced with Assassinate me??? Joanna was a country, but you didn't liberate her, you have destroyed her because you have no light inside you. The darkness must come out of the light so the light can shine and Africa you are shinning brightly. Look at Ghana, look at Rwanda, look at Zimbabwe......out of the ashes comes new life, but why do you have to have ashes.....don't you see the ashes are white? There will always be color, you cannot run or hide from it, we are living, breathing art, and we are alive to create life. South Africa, step away from the hate and find the love that binds us and holds us and calls us LOVE! One in God. That's my prayer for Africa, but my prayer for the Veterinary doctors, you really need to be ashamed of yourselves! You can do a whole lot better and perhaps you should be held to standards, but perhaps you answer to the God of Greed and not of Destiny.
