The Eyes of Heaven are watching you



Lightning strikes, not once, not twice

But three times in this heart of mine

Storm clouds slowly gathering for months on end

now the black clouds no longer hide

the violence and ugliness inside

the wind begins its lofty howl

inside I am bruised and battered

clinging as I hold on but for what?


More emptiness, more boredom, more self pity

more questions, more loneliness, more of the same

less of everything I need

More restrictions 

less freedom 

more control over me

less always less, taking without ever giving

You are not a government for the people

but the master of your slaves and 

I am no slave


Carve out your careful plans

make your selfish laws

I will not bend and I will not break

no matter how this storm rages on and on

I will stand 

barely stand

but stand as long as my life will let me

I will not cower at the sight of your face

I will not hate you 

I will pray for your soul 

although you are dead to me

I will stand and live free as God meant me to be.....


Send your thunder

send your rain

send your fire to consume me

when all is said and done

I am here and you are gone

and love, surely love will live on 

your insanity is met with sheer defiance

you and your alliance are no match

for freedom, liberty and love

send your storms

I spread my wings

you lost the day you plotted this course

I won the moment I saddle my horse

I get to ride out in a blaze of glory

you get to stand in the stench of your death


You burn down our homes, 

send your vultures to pluck the flesh from our bones

You think you are innocent that we will buy your lies

The truth

it does not scare you, ah but it should

The Truth 

will haunt you and expose you and take you to your grave

we are not human slaves

we are born to be free

our hearts will sing a new melody

our hearts will rise in perfect word

the heartbeat of Heaven the drumbeat to which we march

Do as you will, that much is clear

only as in Heaven so on this Earth

God has the victory and Jesus comes first.

wage your war with the God of all Creation

wage your war with nation against nation
